Biography
Kyle M. Tate (Lt Colonel, USAF Retired) is currently department head of the Air Force Junior ROTC program at West Jefferson High School in Harvey, Louisiana. He leads the largest AFJROTC unit in the state of Louisiana. Tate completed 21 years on active duty as a U.S. Air Force officer, and was certified as both an intelligence officer and an academic instructor. Among the highlights of his Air Force career, Tate held a faculty appointment at the United States Military Academy at West Point as an assistant professor, commanded international students at the Defense Language Institute, served as the senior terrorism watch officer at NORAD, and conducted human intelligence operations while assigned to the Defense Intelligence Agency. In addition to teaching part time at Tulane University, Lt Col (Ret) Tate also volunteers as an assessments case manager at the New Orleans Mission in downtown New Orleans.
