Biography

Mr. Lawson served for more than 40 years as an engineer and engineering manager primarily in the nuclear materials and nuclear power industries. His work included over 15 years in the field of physical security as a security specialist, security performance assurance program lead, and physical protection systems engineering manager tasked with the protection of special nuclear materials. He holds one patent on a device used to support international nuclear nonproliferation treaties, and has authored security doctrine for the Department of Energy. In addition to his role at Tulane, he also serves as adjunct faculty in the Mathematics and Engineering departments at the University of South Carolina - Aiken.
