Earn Your Bachelor's Degree at Tulane SoPA

SoPA’s undergraduate programs are designed for those who are transferring from other institutions, and/or have worked, been in the military, or had other significant experiences since graduating high school. The school offers the Bachelor of Arts degree (BA) and the Bachelor of Science degree (BS) in a range of disciplines. Students may transfer in up to 60 credits toward the bachelor’s degree, whether through credit from previous institutions attended, credit for life and work experience, or some combination of the two.

Many courses are available both in the classroom and online. Online courses typically have class meetings once a month. “On ground” classes typically meet once a week, usually during the evening. SoPA students also have access to courses in the sciences and the liberal arts offered by other schools at Tulane University.

Bachelor’s degrees at SoPA require completion of at least 120 credits, a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.0 and a grade point average of at least 2.0 in all major and minor coursework. At least half of coursework for the major (and minor, if there is one) must be completed at Tulane. SoPA students may also major in programs outside of SoPA; these programs may have slightly different requirements.
