What You'll Learn While Earning Your Degree in Interactive UX/UI Design

Earning a degree in interactive UX/UI design immerses you in the intricacies of creating intuitive and engaging digital solutions. You’ll gain an understanding of user psychology and behavior, essential for designing interfaces that are both user- friendly and effective. You’ll master wireframing and prototyping techniques so you can visualize, test, and refine your designs before full-scale development. And you’ll learn to solve problems and incorporate business goals like e-commerce into your designs.

The Tulane School of Professional Advancement awards the B.A. in Digital Design: Interactive UX/UI following the completion of 120 credits, which includes 42 credits in the major. An 18-credit Interactive UX/UI Design minor is also available as is a 30-credit Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Interactive UX/UI Design for those who already have a bachelor’s degree.

All students in the Digital Design major take core courses in design foundations and then declare a career track to specialize in either Interactive UX/UI Design or Graphic Design.

The degree can be earned entirely online, with in-person options for some electives and courses in the core curriculum. And because you may transfer up to 60 credits towards the 120-credit requirement, you could earn your degree in two to four years.

An award-winning strategic communications professional and educator, Dr. Gregorian brings more than two decades of experience developing and leading strategic communication campaigns for clients across the public and private sectors. She is an active member and leader within several local and national organizations, including the Public Relations Society of America, the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication, and the Armenian National Committee of America Eastern Region.

The School of Professional Advancement accepts students on a rolling basis, year-round. Start dates every August, January, May, and June. We never require test scores or recommendations. Visit our Admissions Process page to learn more.

The School of Professional Advancement offers credit for your prior work experience through an assessment of your work portfolio. Undergraduates can earn up to 24 credits.
