Undergraduate Transfer Students

You’ll feel welcomed at SoPA, where all of our undergraduate programs and services are especially geared to meet the needs of students with previous school and work experience. We know that finding the right place to continue your education is a huge decision and strive to make the transfer process as simple as possible. You may transfer up to 60 credits toward your bachelor’s degree.

Start the process today in a few easy steps:

  1. Fill out our simple application
  2. Indicate on the application that you will be transferring credit
  3. Put the code “transfer” in the waive fee box
  4. Submit official transcripts from all colleges and universities that you previously attended. Previous institutions may forward electronic transcripts to soparecords@tulane.edu. If electronic transcripts are not available, official transcripts in unopened envelopes from the institution may be mailed to:
    SoPA Admissions
    800 E. Commerce Rd.
    Suite 100
    Harahan, LA 70123

Your academic advisor will work with you to identify your transferable courses. Many courses can be applied to meet specific requirements of your degree; others will transfer as general electives, and still count toward your degree.

Undergraduate Transfer Student Requirements

Transfer up to 60 credits toward your bachelor’s degree to Tulane SoPA. SoPA accepts credits institutions that held a regional accreditation at the time you took the course.

In addition to your transcript showing a grade of at least a C, SoPA will need a copy of the course syllabus or other detailed information about the course.

SoPA accepts transfer courses from institutions that are not regionally accredited at its own discretion.
