Equity-Centered Education Leadership Certificate Requirements

 

To apply for the Equity-Centered Education Leadership Certificate, students should select the graduate application and choose the certificate. Students must have earned a Bachelor's degree from a regionally-accredited college or university with at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA. No GRE is required. Students must submit a 250-500 word personal essay, two letters of recommendation, and their transcripts.

To apply for the MEd degree, students should select the graduate application and choose the MEd- Equity-Centered Education Leadership. Students must have earned a Bachelor's degree from a regionally-accredited college or university with at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA. No GRE is required. Students must submit a 250-500 word personal essay, their CV, and their transcripts.

To apply for the MPA degree, students should select the graduate application and choose the Equity-Centered Education Leadership concentration. Students must have earned a Bachelor's degree from a regionally-accredited college or university with at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA. Those with grade point averages below 3.0 may be considered for provisional admission, provided they demonstrate significant professional experience in a relevant field. Applicants must submit two statements discussing their interest, relevant experience, and perspectives on the field, as well as a resume, and transcripts.

CERTIFICATE REQUIREMENTS

Work Toward a Master of Education or a Master of Public Administration

We offer our graduate certificate entirely online, and you can apply the credits you've earned toward a Master of Education or a Master of Public Administration, which will propel you forward in your career in education or civic leadership. After completing your graduate certificate, you will only need to take six additional courses to earn your MEd or eight additional courses and a required residency to earn an MPA.
