Advance Your Career With a Hands-On Degree

SoPA offers many options within their Emergency & Security Studies program to help students gain the diverse experience necessary for many roles in the field. Those wanting to build a foundation can earn their undergraduate degree in Homeland Security Studies, while a Master of Professional Studies can help practicing professionals in the field advance their current role while broadening their leadership and industry skills. Our MPS programs include Emergency Management, Homeland Security Studies, and Security Management. We offer 12-credit graduate certificates in Emergency Management, Security Management, and Sport Security. Each certificate is "stackable" and can apply toward our Emergency & Security Studies MPS programs. From graduate certificates to advanced degree programs, our courses prioritize practical applications and a comprehensive overview of risk management, security, and communication. Students with military or public safety backgrounds as a police officer, firefighter, or paramedic have the chance to earn up to 12 credits for prior training and experience.
