Tulane SoPA excels in online learning with help of in-house Learning Design and Development team

SoPA online courses are the result of a months-long collaboration between an in-house Learning Design and Development team, industry experts, and faculty.
Media + Design students win 25 awards during the 2023 ADDYs

Students were awarded an impressive combination of 25 awards at the Advertising Club of New Orleans’ ADDY Award Program on Friday, Feb. 3, including Best of Show, Overall Best of Show, Runner-up, Judge’s Pick, as well as a combination of Gold and Silver ADDY Awards.

SoPA students awarded more than $46K in scholarships


SoPA has awarded more than $46,000 in scholarships to 11 students for the Spring 2023 semester. The scholarship funds were endowed through generous donors.

Dean Duitch will be joined by Assistant Dean Vanessa Rodriguez, who will talk about ways you can engage with Tulane, whether as an online student or on-ground in New Orleans.

Julie Greenwald (NC ’91), chairperson and COO of Atlantic Records, will sit down with Tulane student, Maggie LeStourgeon (Management, Marketing, and DMPC, '23) to discuss the about her career and the impact Tulane has had on her success. At Tulane, Greenwald majored in Political Science and English and has gone on to impact the music industry helping to launch the careers of artists such as Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran, and Cardi B.

Join PRSSA as we discuss interviews with Susan de la Houssaye, Senior Career and Professional Development Advisor at Tulane, and Tracee Dundas, Programs Coordinator at Dress for Success New Orleans. We will discuss preparing for an interview (researching the company and interviewers, what to wear, what to bring), and how to follow up with potential employers (thank you emails, how often to follow up post-interview to see if they’ve made a hiring decision, etc.)

Tulane Tech Talk: How to break into the cyber technology industry
Wednesday April 12, 2023 | 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. CST 

Interested in a career in Technology and Cybersecurity? Hear from a panel of recent Tulane SoPA graduates who have jumpstarted their cyber technology careers. In this free event, the panel will discuss their career paths, what they learned at Tulane, and top tips for breaking into their industries. This will be an interactive discussion, and you will be able to interact with all the panelists during the Q&A portion of the event.
