Tulane SoPA awards $70K in student scholarships
The Tulane School of Professional Advancement (SoPA) announced the recipients of four endowed scholarships earmarked for adult students matriculating in one of the school’s degree programs.
Scholarships awarded totaled nearly $70,000 and included the Osher Re-entry Scholarship, the Brian & Jill Rowe Foundation Scholarship, the Thomas J. Assad/Tidewater Scholarship, and the James & Alana Bishop Monoghan Scholarship.
Osher Re-entry Scholarships
Osher Re-entry Scholarships are endowed by a $1,000,000 gift from the Bernard Osher Foundation. The scholarship is awarded to students who are completing their degrees after a 5+ year gap in pursuit of higher education.

Amy Guth, Social Sciences
Kasha Weir, Legal Studies/Information Technology
Brian & Jill Rowe Foundation Scholarships
This scholarship is awarded to students who are also veterans, reserve and active-duty military members.

Francis Canaan, Homeland Security Studies
Richard Setaro, Homeland Security Studies
Thomas J. Assad/Tidewater Scholarships
This scholarship is awarded to students enrolled in Tulane SoPA’s Humanities majors and minors.
Fall 2022 recipients are:

Kisha Taylor-Cook, Social Sciences/Humanities
James & Alana Bishop Monaghan Scholarships
This scholarship is awarded to students who are Homeland Security majors and minors.
Fall 2022 recipient is:
Marc Lyons, Homeland Security Studies majors and minors.
