SoPA offers tuition discount to Louisiana National Guard members
The Tulane School of Professional Advancement (Tulane SoPA) has teamed up with the Louisiana National Guard to help members prepare for leadership roles within the military and successful careers after service.
“Tulane SoPA has long been in support of assisting service members in achieving their educational goals,” said Dean Amelia Manning. “We hope that this partnership encourages the men and women of the Louisiana National Guard to find their place among the students of Tulane.”
Through the agreement, Louisiana National Guard members will receive a 20% discount on tuition for all undergraduate and graduate degree programs offered through Tulane SoPA. In addition to flexible online degree options, Tulane SoPA offers credit for life and work experience, which can help active-duty and veteran National and Air Guard members earn a degree sooner. Tulane SoPA is also committed to helping Guard members navigate admissions, financial aid, and career planning.
“Louisiana National Guard members demonstrate exceptional dedication and leadership,” said Michael Wallace, the director Tulane SoPA’s Emergency and Security Studies Program who spearheaded the formation of the partnership. “We’re honored to partner with the Louisiana National Guard to make higher education more affordable and accessible, helping Guardsmen reach their professional goals now and in the future.”

“Education strengthens our force and our communities,” said Maj. Gen. Thomas C. Friloux, adjutant general of Louisiana. “This partnership with Tulane University opens doors for our service members to develop skills they can use in uniform and beyond.”
