SoPA announces spring recipients of Harrah’s, Osher scholarships

For several students in the Tulane School of Professional Advancement (SoPA), January’s announcement of the Spring 2022 Osher Re-entry Scholarship and Harrah’s Scholarship recipients marked the start of a great new year.

In total, SoPA presented $39,000 in financial assistance this month to 12 deserving students.

Harrah’s Scholarships

Harrah’s Scholarships are awarded to students who contribute to the ethnic diversity of Tulane’s undergraduate population. Students must have a minimum 3.4 GPA and have completed 30 credit hours at SoPA to be eligible.

Veronica Pohl, Covington, LA, Graphic Design
Rudy Johnson, New Orleans, LA, General Legal Studies
Jazmin Perez, Kenner, LA, Exercise Science
Dilsia Mejia, Laplace, LA, Homeland Security/General Legal Studies

Osher Re-entry Scholarships

Osher Re-entry Scholarships are endowed by a $1,000,000 gift from the Bernard Osher Foundation. The scholarship is awarded to students who are completing their degrees after a 5+ year gap in pursuit of higher education.
