The Tulane School of Professional Advancement (SoPA) and the ISC2 Central Gulf Coast Chapter have partnered to offer a tuition discount to chapter members. Tulane SoPA believes in ISC2’s mission to support the Central Gulf Coast cybersecurity community (skilled professionals & anyone with an interest in learning more about cybersecurity) by sharing industry information and best practices, facilitating networking and collaboration opportunities, as well as providing professional development resources. Members consist of ISC2 credentialed professionals who hold either an SSCP, CAP, CSSLP and/or a CISSP or advanced concentration certification as well as non-credentialed professionals who have an interest in learning and practicing information security.

ISC2 Central Gulf Coast Chapter members typically work in areas of cybersecurity, information systems, software, information technology, network communications, and critical infrastructure.

The Tulane School of Professional Advancement is excited to announce our partnership with Operation Spark. As part of this agreement, graduates of the Operation Spark bootcamp will be eligible to start at Tulane with 15 credits towards their degree in Information Technology.

Operation Spark is a New Orleans-based non-profit organization that offers intensive software development training and workforce preparation to low-opportunity individuals through a bootcamp program. This application development bootcamp is designed to offer attendees the "fastest route to a career in software development."

The partnership establishes guidelines and procedures for the granting of undergraduate course credit to Operation Spark students who have successfully completed the Operation Spark Adult Workforce Immersion Program. Specifically, upon successful completion of the Operation Spark program, graduates will be eligible to receive prior learning credit for five (5) Tulane SoPA Information Technology undergraduate courses for a total of 15 credits:
