Graduate Certificate in Cyber Technology Fundamentals

Choose Your Path

The graduate certificate in Cyber Technology Fundamentals can be earned independently or combined with six additional graduate-level courses to earn a Master’s Degree in Cyber Technology.

Cyber Technology Fundamentals Certificate Requirements

The Graduate Certificate in Cyber Technology Fundamentals is a 12-credit, four course program that provides students with a broad overview of information technology in areas including general technology fundamentals, networking, data management, and systems/information security. It is suited both for those looking to pivot to an information technology role, and as an entry point into the Master of Science degree in Cyber Technology. Students will also have the opportunity to earn a relevant professional industry certification in this area during their studies.

Earn a Graduate Degree That Fits Your Goals—in Only One Year

The MS in Cyber Technology is designed for students who want a fast, focused path to career advancement. Developed by IT professionals, the curriculum builds both foundational and advanced skills. The accelerated format includes two 8-week terms per semester, allowing students to complete four courses in the fall and spring, and two in the summer—finishing the degree in as little as one year.

Students who pursue a Graduate Certificate in Cyber Technology Fundamentals will complete coursework in four key areas: IT Fundamentals (CompTIA ITF+ Industry Certification); Networks & System Fundamentals;  Database, Data Analysis and Data Structures Fundamentals; and Cybersecurity/InfoSec Fundamentals.

While a graduate certificate alone is valuable for building targeted skills, enrolling directly in the master’s program can help you reach your goals faster. You’ll still earn the certificate along the way, but by starting with the full degree in mind, you’ll stay on track with accelerated 8-week terms—saving time and gaining both credentials more efficiently.
