Biography

Amanda Hartle joined the Tulane SoPA faculty in 2020, bringing a career defined by high-level industry leadership to the academic environment. A 2025 John Percy Dyer Award recipient and Tulane Faculty Fellow, she previously served as the Interim Associate Program Director for the Technology Department. In the classroom, she translates decades of elite experience into practical instruction covering digital forensics, cloud security, and artificial intelligence.

Her professional trajectory includes serving as the CSO and CIO at both Prove and Relativity, where she architected global security strategies and overhauled complex information infrastructures. Previously, she managed critical incident response operations for Zurich Insurance and held pivotal consulting and management roles at Symantec, Dell SecureWorks, and Booz Allen Hamilton. This extensive background in defending global enterprises now serves as the foundation for Fiddlers, her strategic consulting firm where she provides organizations with high-impact vCISO leadership and technical advisory services.

Amanda's academic credentials reflect a deep commitment to multidisciplinary expertise. She holds a Masters in Forensic Science with a specialization in High-Technology Crime Investigation from The George Washington University, as well as a Master of Library Sciences focused on archival technology. Complementing her technical and administrative background, she also holds a professional culinary degree from Escoffier. She remains a dedicated advocate for security best practices and the advancement of technical education.
