Graduate Certificate in Sport Coaching
SoPA’s 100% online graduate certificate in Sport Coaching focuses on the fundamentals of coaching athletes at all levels and is designed for those interested in the science and psychology of coaching athletes. Courses cover the building blocks of sport coaching, including strength and conditioning, nutrition, and psychology. With this foundation that may be applied across athletic levels and various sports, you will be better qualified for employment as an assistant or head coach, assistant athletic director, and positions in athletics administration. As a graduate-level “stackable” certificate, all credits earned may be applied directly to the Master of Professional Studies in Sport Studies. To earn an MPS in Sport Studies, students complete course work in two certificate programs, plus two required core courses, for a total of 10 courses. If you would like to pursue an MPS degree and apply your certificate towards the degree completion, please contact the Program Director for next steps. The process is simple and can be completed without reapplying.
