Biography

Dr. Sneed is a faculty member within SoPA's undergraduate Kinesiology and graduate Sport Studies programs. Sneed is a former DI Track & Field Thrower at ETSU who, after his undergraduate career, pursued a career in college athletic administration and coaching. He earned an MA in Sport Management and an EdD in Global Sport Leadership at ETSU. His doctoral research was entitled "The Attitudes on Life After Athletics Among African-American Male NCAA Division I Basketball Student-Athletes". He also earned an MS in Academic Advising from Kansas State University and is currently working on his MS in Instructional Design & Learning Technology from Anderson University. Sneed has over a decade of experience working in college athletics and higher education. Between being an athletics administrator and track and field throws coach, his stops include ETSU, the University of Memphis, Tulane University, King University, Loyola University of New Orleans, and Columbia College.
