Biography
Lanie Dornier serves as director of the Kinesiology program in the School of Professional Advancement. She received her Ph.D. and MS degrees in Health & Human Performance from Auburn University and her BS in Health & Physical Education from Louisiana State University. Dr. Dornier has served on the faculty at Texas Tech University and as Chair of the Kinesiology Department at Louisiana Tech University where she held the Roger Thomas Luffey Endowed Professorship. She also served as Associate Dean of Graduate Studies and Research at Louisiana Tech University. In her 30 years in higher education she has served on numerous university and college committees including chair of the President’s Council on Gender Equity (Texas Tech) and Co-Director of College of Education Strategic Planning (Louisiana Tech). She has developed both undergraduate and graduate curriculums in Kinesiology at the universities where she as served. As a native of Baton Rouge, she is very excited to be back in Louisiana working with great faculty in developing new innovative programs in Kinesiology at Tulane University.

Select a career you would do for free (if you could afford to.)
If you could travel anywhere, where would you go?
Africa or Nepal; both are on my bucket list. And I love to travel, so I would say yes to just about anywhere safe.
