Kelly Nguyen’s journey crossed continents before leading her to Tulane. From a Vietnamese-speaking household in Arizona to a community college honors program and a semester sailing around the world, she will graduate in May with a degree in digital media and marketing from Tulane University School of Professional Advancement.

Commencement Day Reminders

School of Professional Advancement Diploma Ceremony

Saturday, May 16, 2026 | 9 a.m. CST | Avron B. Fogelman Arena in the Devlin Fieldhouse

This is such a special event for our students because it is during this ceremony that you get to hear your name called and walk across the stage. Graduates should report to Marshall Commons no later than 8:30 a.m. Guests should go to Devlin Fieldhouse directly. Following the diploma ceremony, we will have a traditional New Orleans second line parade that leads us to a reception.

Unified Commencement Ceremony

Saturday, May 16, 2026 | 5 p.m. CST | Caesars Superdome

Tulane’s Unified Commencement is unlike any other commencement ceremony, with music and fanfare keeping the traditions of New Orleans culture. It is truly a spectacular event with speaker, Sterling K. Brown. Visit the Unified Commencement website for specific details on participating.
