Jane Wolfe & Beau Boudreaux Pen New Books
At Tulane SoPA, our community is comprised of faculty, staff members, and students who passionately pursue an array of interests. We would like to highlight the achievements of Jane Wolfe and Beau Boudreaux. Both are members of our Dean’s Advisory Board who recently released new books. They were scheduled to speak at the inaugural New Orleans Book Festival at Tulane; however, this event was canceled because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Wolfe's Book and Legacy
Jane Wolfe co-authored her book, From GED to Harvard Then Inc. 500: How Two Teens Went From GEDs to Building the Fastest Growing Business in New Orleans, with her husband, Scott. It was published earlier this year by ForbesBooks. The book chronicles their journey from running a small, neighborhood market to owning a sprawling collection of stores that were shuttered by Hurricane Katrina, as well as their vision and creativity in re-inventing their businesses in the hurricane’s aftermath. Read more about the Wolfes, who also operate the iconic neighborhood restaurant Melba’s, at the ForbesBooks website.
Boudreaux's Book and Award Recognition
Beau Boudreaux’s third book of poetry, Toy Park, was published in late 2019 by Cherry Grove Collections. In addition to his writing, Boudreaux is an adjunct instructor of English at SoPA. This spring, he received the John Percy Dyer Award, SoPA’s highest teaching award, for his dedication and excellence in teaching.
