Earn Credits Toward a Master of Public Administration Degree With NLCU
Tulane School of Professional Advancement is proud to work with the National League of Cities University (NLCU) to provide municipal leaders from across the country with valuable educational experiences. The NLCU is an executive education and leadership development initiative developed by the National League of Cities to help municipal leaders—both elected and appointed—build the skills they need to better govern, serve, and advocate for their communities.
Partnership Benefits
This partnership presents an opportunity—especially for students working in local governments—to grow practical skills and technical knowledge needed to better serve their communities. NLC members who complete the “Leading Through Disruption” program are eligible to receive up to six credits toward a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from Tulane SoPA, as well as discounted tuition. For more information, contact the MPA Program Director, Dr. Halima Leak Francis.
- Save time and money: Admitted applicants can receive up to six graduate-level course credits towards an MPA degree at Tulane SoPA, a savings of over $6,000, and are eligible for a 20% discount on tuition.
- Accelerate your career: The Tulane SoPA MPA taps into a wealth of knowledge from working experts in public policy, economic development, housing, education, and environmental management. Learn from local and national leaders who can directly connect you with valuable, real-world experience and help you build professional networks that may benefit you throughout your career.
- Flexibility to earn your master’s degree from anywhere: Our programs are designed with your work schedule and busy home life in mind. Courses are 100% online and combine synchronous and asynchronous elements.
