Tulane SoPA, Junior League partner to promote professional growth for women

The Tulane University School of Professional Advancement (SoPA) announced a new partnership with the Junior League of New Orleans (JLNO) that provides members of JLNO with a 20 percent tuition discount on degree and certificate programs at Tulane SoPA. This collaboration builds on both organizations’ shared commitment to community leadership, lifelong learning, and service, creating new opportunities for women in New Orleans to advance their education and career goals.

As part of this partnership, members of JLNO will be eligible for discounted tuition when enrolling in Tulane SoPA’s wide range of flexible programs, including undergraduate, graduate, and professional certificates in fields such as business, information technology, public relations, education and health and wellness. By offering this benefit, the partnership aims to empower women with the knowledge and skills needed to further their personal development and professional growth.

“We are thrilled to partner with the Junior League of New Orleans to offer this unique opportunity for their members,” said Robyn Ice, director of the General Legal Studies Program and the Business and Leadership Studies Program. “Both SoPA and JLNO are deeply committed to fostering leadership and community engagement. Through this collaboration, we are proud to support JLNO members as they pursue their educational and career goals, while also strengthening our collective impact on the New Orleans community.”

JLNO, a nonprofit organization committed to promoting volunteerism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers, sees this partnership as a valuable resource for its members.

“Training, education and professional development are key tenets to positive change in our community, and this partnership with Tulane SoPA will help our members access the resources they need to make a greater impact,” said JLNO President, Tara Waldron. “By providing this opportunity, we can support women in their ongoing personal and professional journeys, ensuring they have the tools to lead with confidence and realize their full potential, driving transformative community impact throughout the New Orleans area.”

The partnership between Tulane SoPA and JLNO is a natural fit, as both organizations share a passion for empowering individuals to become leaders and change agents in the community. Together, they aim to build a stronger, more vibrant New Orleans by investing in the education and development of the next generation of female leaders.
