Tulane SoPA joins forces with Louisiana Emergency Preparedness Association on continuing education
Tulane School of Professional Advancement (Tulane SoPA) is proud to announce a new partnership with the Louisiana Emergency Preparedness Association (LEPA), offering exclusive tuition discounts for LEPA members across all undergraduate and graduate programs, as well as certificates. This collaboration reinforces Tulane's commitment to supporting the professional growth of individuals in the emergency preparedness field.
LEPA, a non-profit, statewide organization comprised of emergency preparedness and response practitioners, was formed in 1980 by a group of local civil defense directors who recognized the need to expand and incorporate personnel in emergency service organizations into a cohesive and productive association.
“Partnering with LEPA allows us to help further the education and professional development of those working in emergency preparedness,” said Michael Wallace, director of Emergency and Security Studies Programs for Tulane SoPA. “This partnership strengthens the skills and knowledge base of an essential workforce dedicated to protecting communities across Louisiana and beyond.”
Through this partnership, LEPA members can take advantage of flexible, online courses that are tailored to fit their schedules and align with their career goals. Tulane SoPA's programs offer practical, real-world knowledge, taught by industry leaders who bring real-world experience into the classroom.
This collaboration opens the door to high-quality, accessible education for LEPA members, empowering them to take the next step in their careers without the constraints of traditional in-person education.
