New scholarships to help NOLA city employees pursue Tulane degree
The Tulane School of Professional Advancement (Tulane SoPA) is now accepting applications for three scholarships reserved for employees of the City of New Orleans.
The tuition scholarships are funded through a gift from the Murphy Institute and will be awarded to students based upon the completion of a short online application. The deadline to apply is midnight on Sunday, Aug. 6.
Both new and continuing students at Tulane SoPA who are in need of financial assistance may apply. Applicants must be employed by the City of New Orleans including, but not limited to, the New Orleans police and fire departments, Sewerage & Water Board, EMS, etc. Teachers are ineligible for this award, but other school system employees may apply.
Applicants in undergraduate programs are eligible for up to $10,000 toward tuition and fees to be used within two years of the award. Applicants for graduate programs are eligible for up to $20,000 toward tuition and fees, to be used within two years of the award.
Applicants interested in enrolling for the Fall 2023 semester have until Aug. 1, to complete the online application for admission and Aug. 6, to complete the scholarship application.
