Media + Design Students Technical Requirements

Digital Design students are required to have specific technology to complete the program. Please see the information below.

If you are enrolled in Graphic Design or Interactive UX/UI Design:

iMac Desktop:

  • macOS Catalina or newer
  • Retina 4K Display
  • 3.4 GHZ Quad-Core Intel Core i5
  • 16 GB Memory
  • Radeon Pro Graphics Card

Mac Book Pro Laptop:

  • MacOS Sierra or newer
  • 2.9 GHz IntelCore i7
  • 16 GB Memory
  • Radeon Pro 560 4GB Graphics Card

If you are enrolled in Game Art & Animation:

Dell Gaming PC:

  • 8th Generation Intel® Core™ i5-8500 (6-Core, 9MB Cache, up to 4.1GHz, 65W)
  • Windows 10 Pro English, French, Spanish
  • Intel® Integrated Graphics
  • 16GB ,2x8GB, DDR4 non ECC memory
  • 3.5 inch 500GB 7200rpm SATA Hard Disk Drive
  • OptiPlex XE3 Tower with 360W up to 90% efficient Power Supply (80Plus Gold)

 

The Media + Design program offers students a loan for the computers that they can pay back at a low interest rate over time. The terms include:

  • Available to Media + Design students for computer equipment
  • Specifically for the student to purchase the computer required for Media + Design classes
  • Up to $2,500
  • Funds would be received a few days after the student signs the promissory note
  • Unsubsidized, so the student would start paying on the loan the month after they receive funds
  • 5% interest rate, paid off in 36 months with interest
