Jefferson Parish Schools Tuition Reimbursement Program

Jefferson Parish Schools will directly pay Tulane SoPA for tuition and selected fees, up to $1,500 for 3 credit hours and up to $3,000 for 6 credit hours. Because educator receive a 20% discount on Tulane SoPA tuition, the tuition reimbursement fully covers the cost of up to two courses a semester.

In order to be eligible, non-certified teachers in Jefferson Parish Schools must:

  • Apply through Jefferson Parish's Human Resources department each semester
  • Meet with Claudine Davis at Tulane SoPA to fill out a program of study form that dictates the required courses and the courses they are enrolling in for the upcoming semester.
  • After completing 12 hours, submit passing Praxis II scores to JP to continue to qualify for tuition reimbursement.
