About this Course

Introduction to Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Course Level: Beginner

What students will learn:

  • Describe what is AI, its applications, use cases, and how it is transforming our lives
  • Explain terms like Machine Learning, Deep Learning and Neural Networks
  • Describe several issues and ethical concerns surrounding AI
  • Articulate advice from experts about learning and starting a career in AI

Students meet with the instructor four times during the semester; the rest is self-paced;

This course is part of the Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate: When enrolled in this course, students will also be enrolled in the Professional Certificate course and have the opportunity to earn it. Students will also have the opportunity to earn an IBM/Coursera shareable certificate. This course is not for university credit, and it is not open to Tulane students, faculty, or staff

Dr. Blaine Fisher embodies the essence of a modern-day polymath, seamlessly integrating expertise across a multitude of disciplines.

Dr. Fisher holds a Ph.D. in Geography and Anthropology from Louisiana State University, where his research focused on Maya Archaeology. His academic credentials are further complemented by a Bachelor’s degree from Southeastern Louisiana University, a Master’s in Healthcare Management from the University of New Orleans, a Master’s in Liberal Arts from Tulane University, and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) from Tulane University. This extensive academic portfolio reflects Dr. Fisher’s commitment to continuous learning and his wide-ranging intellectual curiosity.
