Lunch with Cicero: The Study of Literature as Career Enrichment

Uptown Campus
Richardson Building
Room 204

How does your liberal arts training help you lead in your professional, civic, and personal life? Although we may intuitively "feel" the benefits we reap from studying the liberal arts, we may sometimes find it challenging to articulate the value of our passion for literature, history, philosophy, and arts to people who come from a different background. Join a diverse group of professionals and students for a lunchtime conversation where we will think with the Roman orator Cicero and each other about the many ways in which our study of the humanities enhances our professional lives and equip us to benefit our communities. Discussion will be facilitated by Jonathan Zarecki (Associate Professor of Classical Studies at UNC Greensboro) and Mallory Monaco Caterine (Senior Professor of Practice at Tulane Classical Studies and Co-Founder and Co-Executive Director of Kallion Leadership, Inc.). Light lunch will be provided; limited spaces available and RSVP is required.
