Hello students,

Tulane’s School of Professional Advancement is committed to continuing to evolve to meet the needs of our students. We are excited to share that starting Fall 2026, the School of Professional Advancement will expand your options by introducing a new 8-week term format across select degrees, graduate certificates, and undergraduate coursework.

The 8-week term model offers several benefits:

  • Focus on fewer courses at a time
  • Maintain steady momentum toward graduation
  • Balance academic, professional, and personal responsibilities more effectively
  • Gain flexibility while experiencing the same academic quality you expect from Tulane

Additionally, we are reducing the per-credit-hour cost for all School of Professional Advancement courses. Effective Fall 2026, students will pay $600 per credit hour for undergraduate courses and $900 per credit hour for graduate courses. This decision reflects thoughtful planning and collaboration across the university’s administrative leadership, enrollment management, and student support services.

We understand that changes can bring questions, so we have created a page that better explains what students should expect and offers a list of frequently asked questions to better support you. If you have questions regarding your courses, please schedule an appointment with your academic advisor.

We look forward to supporting you as we introduce this new academic format and helping you plan for success.

Sincerely,

Mr. Micahla Williams
Director, Academic Advising
