Sam Scandaliato is the Corporate Controller for Louisiana Fish Fry Products in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Sam is a licensed Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Management Accountant as well as a Certified Six Sigma Green Belt. He has held various senior-level positions in Financial/Cost Accounting, Operations Management and Process Improvement and has experience working in Public Accounting, Manufacturing, Laboratory Sciences, Consumer Packaged Goods and Consulting.

Sam received his Engineering degree and MBA from Tulane University. He enjoys spending his time playing golf and cheering the Tulane Football team on to victory. Sam served on the Board of Directors and as Treasurer of the New Orleans Speech and Hearing Center, a non-profit organization whose mission is to meet the needs of children and adults with speech, language, hearing, and related disorders through assessment and treatment. He is also very active in several Carnival organizations.

Sam is an Adjunct Professor at the Tulane University School of Professional Advancement where he teaches both Business Statistics and Financial Accounting. He also a member of the Applied Business Studies Advisory Board at SoPA.

What are your favorite activities when you are not working?
I enjoy playing golf and running.

What advice would you give to someone who's considering finishing their degree, or starting for the first time as an adult?
I would strongly encourage people to continue to pursue their education as it is a great way to advance their career. It also demonstrates drive and a commitment to improvement.

What is your favorite thing about SoPA?
I enjoy meeting and working with our wonderful students and having the opportunity to provide them with additional education and skills to help improve their lives. I consider teaching at SOPA truly meaningful work.
