Biography
Robert Pettit, MBA, PMP is an award-winning corporate communications leader who manages business and incident response communications at Entergy, the only Fortune 500 company headquartered in New Orleans. In his role, he leads crisis communications during companywide storms and operational incidents, providing counsel to leaders and team members through high-pressure situations.
Since joining Entergy in 2017, Robert has served in multiple corporate affairs and communications roles, directing multi-channel campaigns for internal and external audiences, shaping executive presence for senior leaders and developing digital strategies that strengthen customer engagement. Prior to Entergy, he held communications roles across government organizations, advertising agencies, non-profits and start-ups, building a diverse foundation in digital media, storytelling and public affairs in the U.S. and China.
Rob holds a Master of Business Administration degree with a focus in finance and global business from Tulane University and Bachelor of Arts degrees in International Studies and Chinese from the University of Mississippi. He is a certified Project Management Professional by the Project Management Institute and an active contributor to professional associations, having held board roles with the Public Relations Association of Mississippi, the Southern Public Relations Federation and the Public Relations Society of America New Orleans chapter.
