Biography
Qiana "Qi" Wiggins has over 16 years of private business experience, nine years in the oil & gas industry to include specific experience in media relations and advertising content; crises management; internal and external stakeholder engagement; social investing; volunteerism; strategic business planning; program development; and process improvement using Six Sigma tools/certification.
Currently she has a temporary commission to promote and encourage participation in the United States 2020 Decennial Census in Louisiana. Most recently she was the External Relations Advisor for the Shell Oil Company’s United States Social Investment team. In that role she strategically enhanced Shell’s value proposition through the inclusion of social investment in business planning by leveraging the Shell brand and reputation, making a positive impact in the local society and ensuring social investment communication integration.
Prior to joining Shell, she was the Public Affairs Representative with Chevron Corporation’s Gulf of Mexico Business Unit in Covington, Louisiana where she was named a 2008 Face of the Future by Fortune Magazine.
She also managed internal and external media relations for Coca-Cola Enterprises Gulf States and Southern States Business Units.
Wiggins graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications from Dillard University and a Masters in Liberal Arts with a concentration in Rhetoric from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. She is a member of Omicron Delta Kappa, the Public Relations Society of America, Junior League of New Orleans, and 2007 graduate of Leadership Jefferson. Wiggins is currently a Director on the Board for Catholic Charities Archdiocese of New Orleans and the Audubon Nature Institute, and Vice-Chair for the Board of Directors for the Institute of Mental Hygiene. She has served as a Director for the Urban League of Greater New Orleans, Venice Port Coalition, Jefferson Parish Dollars for Scholars, The Beautiful Foundation, and the Young Leadership Council. She is married to Freeman School of Business MBA graduate Leonard D. Wiggins, III and together they have a daughter, Chloé.
