Biography
Norma Jean is the Founder and President of TekChix, a boutique IT staffing & consulting firm with a large presence in the Gulf Coast region. Harnessing her background as an IT professional and later, an executive in the staffing industry working with Fortune 500 and Fortune 100 corporations, Norma Jean ushered unique, integrity-driven processes into her company’s approach to recruiting. This has allowed TekChix to achieve a 95% placement success rate and exponential growth since they opened their doors four years ago.
Norma Jean is passionate about staying involved with the local community and empowering students to become involved in the IT field. TekChix offers Career Aspiration Services to anyone seeking to take control of their career, and Norma Jean serves on the Fidelity Bank POWER Advisory Board for Women Entrepreneurs, Southeastern Louisiana University’s Computer Science Advisory Board, and the Louisiana Economic Development CEO Roundtable, in addition to Tulane’s School of Professional Advancement Advisory Board.
