Katie Stapko

Katie is a senior product designer and creative director with 20 years of experience in the graphic and visual arts as well as web and digital design. Currently Lead Product Designer for Carrot, a B2B real estate software company, she specializes in design thinking and building design systems.

She enjoys the intersection of design principles with functionality - bridging the gap between problem solving, empathy for users, creating, maintaining and evolving brand systems and also keeping up with the ever-morphing complexities of the digital world.

Also a multimedia artist and illustrator, She has a Master of Fine Arts with an emphasis in graphic design and has been an adjunct professor at San Diego State University teaching a range of courses in the design and UX space. Her client list includes UC Davis, UC Berkeley, Palo Alto University, and San Diego State University.
