Biography

Dantiel Daniels is a former Division I and professional basketball player who transitioned into coaching and higher education leadership. He competed at Southern Illinois University and Colorado State University before playing professionally in Finland, Uruguay, and China. After his playing career, Daniels coached men’s basketball at the collegiate level, holding positions at the University of Tennessee Martin, Lincoln Trail College, and Colorado State University.

He currently serves as the Associate Director of Career & Professional Development, Employer Connections at Tulane University, where he leads alum engagement, employer partnerships, and applied learning initiatives. In addition to his administrative role, Daniels teaches undergraduate career development courses at Tulane, including Taylor Your Life (TYL 3000), Preparing for Jobs, Internships, and Graduate School (CRDV 1070), and Exploring Majors and Careers (CRDV 1060).

Daniels holds a Master of Education in Adult Education and Training from Colorado State University and is completing his Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership with a focus on Sport Education and Administration. He is also a Certified Career Services Provider (CCSP) through the National Career Development Association. His research explores how NCAA Division I Student-Athlete Enhancement administrators implement career preparedness strategies to support student-athletes’ transitions beyond sport.
