Willa Taliancich

Willa “Jeanie” Kern Taliancich received her Bachelor of Art in Geography and Master of Art in Geography from University of New Orleans. In addition to teaching at SoPA, Ms. Taliancich is a freelance cartographer.

What advice would you give to someone who's considering finishing their degree, or starting for the first time as an adult?
The most difficult first task is applying to the college or university. Secondly to remember to "never give up." You're never too old to focus on your goal and you are wiser than your classmates since you have more life experiences than many of them.
 
If you could travel anywhere, where would you go?
I would love to visit all of the United States National Parks. I have visited many but still have a few that I have not explored or camped in.
 
What are your favorite activities when you are not working?
Reading, gardening, traveling, and drawing.
