Biography

Dr. Teaway Zehyoue Ghoram has a passion for teaching and motivating students to engage in classroom discussions and is dedicated to developing the critical thinking skills of students as scholars. Dr. Zehyoue Ghoram has extensive work experiences in the private and public sector that allows her to bring a wealth of practical and professional knowledge to graduate students in the John Lewis Public Administration Program of the School of Professional Advancement at Tulane University. Her private sector experience includes previously serving as Consulting Manager at Postlethwaite & Netterville now EisnerAmper in New Orleans, Louisiana and Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and previously serving as Corporate Internal Auditor for Macy's Inc. in Cincinnati, Ohio, and San Francisco, California. Her public sector experience includes previously serving as Policy Director in the Office of the Secretary at the Louisiana Department of Health in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, as Budget Administrator in the Office of Education Finance and Policy at the Louisiana Department of Education in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and as Legislative Auditor with the Louisiana Legislative Auditor in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Dr. Zehyoue Ghoram is the Founder and Lead Consultant of NoGi Consulting LLC which provides national and international consultancy to public sector and nonprofit clients on governance, strategic planning, policy analysis, and organizational effectiveness. NoGi Consulting LLC also conducts research and develop analytical reports related to public policy and program implementation and facilitates stakeholder engagement and policy development initiatives.

Dr. Zehyoue Ghoram is originally from Liberia, West Africa, but she has lived and worked in cities throughout the United States including Louisiana, Ohio, New York, and California. Her research interests and publications are in the area of international development including economic development focusing on public budgeting and political development focusing on racial equity and social justice, and in the area of public policy initiatives including foreign policy, health policy focusing on health equity, and education policy. She has been an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated for over 22 years.

Dr. Zehyoue Ghoram holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Public Policy with a concentration in International Development and a Master of Public Administration degree from Southern University and A & M College in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management from Louisiana State University and A & M College in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
