Biography

Samantha (Sam) Barnes is an interactive designer, front-end web developer, and marketing technology strategist helping her clients build online experiences and marketing communications systems with a user experience and accessibility focus.

Sam earned her BFA from Nicholls State University with a concentration in Graphic Design. After graduation, she made her way to New Orleans,  where she currently works as an interactive designer and front-end web developer.

Sam has worked with several agencies on brands including NOLA Motorsports, Stryker Corporation, French Market Corporation, Ochsner Health, Corporate Realty, One Canal Place, Aunt Sally’s Pralines, and New Orleans Entrepreneur Week.

She has also volunteered with AIGA New Orleans for over 10 years, holding terms of office as both Communications Director and President. When Sam isn't appearing on a screen remotely, she is a parent in a neurodivergent, blended, and nerdy household. There is not a topic in the world that she would not want to know more about. In 2020, Sam was given a Distinguished Faculty award by Tulane for her focus and dedication to student success.
