Biography

Robert Sanchez is Adjunct instructor for the Tulane University School of Professional Advancement Applied Computing Program since 2017. Previous to teaching at Tulane University Mr. Sanchez taught at variety of different institutions most notable was at US Air Force Air University. Mr. Sanchez has been teaching for the last 10 years in network infrastructure to cyber security and also including Department of Defense (DoD) Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process and RMF Framework.

Mr. Sanchez is currently serving in US Navy, entering his 19th year of service and works as a IT security manager in which he is responsible the management of DoD Information Assurance packages and network vulnerabilities. His current assignment he works for the a supporting unit which part of the Naval Oceanographic Office Stennis Space Center and U.S. Naval Observatory in DC.

Mr. Sanchez serves as a volunteer IT tutor during his off time, and mentors junior IT specialist in different IT related courses and material.

Mr. Sanchez holds a Bachelor of Science in Web Development and a Master of Science in Information Assurance and Security. He currently working on his Ph.D. in Information Assurance and Security. His current research is on Security Policy Adherence.

Mr. Sanchez has always been passionate about information technology and loves to bring his own real-life experience into the classroom. Always looking to make things better and teaching IT is has always been a priority. Never Stop Learning.

Mr. Sanchez lives in Ocean Springs, MS with his wife Melyssa and two children.
