Biography

Dr. Phil Page is a licensed physical therapist, athletic trainer, and certified strength & conditioning specialist. Dr. Page is an Associate Professor and Research Director in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University (Fran U) in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He graduated from LSU Medical Center in Physical Therapy in 1994 and received his master's degree in Exercise Physiology from Mississippi State University in 1996, as well as a PhD in Kinesiology from LSU in 2009. Dr. Page is a Fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine. He has been involved in rehabilitation and sports medicine for over 30 years, and most recently was the Global Director of Clinical Education and Research for Performance Health for 21 years. Dr. Page also has faculty appointments at Tulane University Medical School and teaches Sports Medicine. He serves as a member of the Louisiana Physical Therapy Board.

He has received the Lifetime Excellence in Education Award from the American Academy of Sports Physical Therapy and the Distinguished Service Award from the APTA-Louisiana. Dr. Page lectures extensively and provides workshops on a variety of topics around the world. He has presented over 200 international lectures and workshops in 32 countries on exercise and rehabilitation topics and has over 100 publications as well as 4 books. He has worked with the athletic programs at LSU, Tulane, the New Orleans Saints and Seattle Seahawks, as well as the United States Olympic Track and Field Trials.

His clinical and research interests include musculoskeletal ultrasound, biomechanics of human movement, and myofascial disorders including muscle imbalance. Dr. Page serves as Editor of the International Journal of Sports Physical Therapy.
