Biography
Coach Mo is originally from Southern California and grew up immersed in competitive sports, including soccer, swimming, water polo, tennis, golf, and track and field. After high school, he served in the United States Air Force, where he first developed his passion for fitness and performance. During his military service, he became deeply involved in CrossFit and obstacle course racing events (e.g., Spartan Race/Tough Mudder)—experiences that continue to shape his coaching philosophy.
Since then, Coach Mo has lived and breathed fitness across multiple disciplines, including strength training, bodybuilding, powerlifting, Olympic weightlifting, and CrossFit. In addition to serving as an Adjunct Professor, he is a Health & Wellness Coach and nutrition consultant for CrossFit athletes and gyms. He holds an A.S. in Computer Information Systems from the Florida Institute of Technology, and both a B.S. and M.S. in Kinesiology from San Francisco State University.
