Matt Wellman

Matthew Wellman, J.D., has taught in the General Legal Studies Program for over 25 years. He also teaches at Tulane University’s A.B. Freeman School of Business. Mr. Wellman’s talents as an instructor have been recognized repeatedly; he was awarded the John Percy Award for Teaching Excellence twice, Distinguished Faculty Award, and was twice named as a Faculty Fellow. He earned both his B.S. degree in Accounting and his J.D. from Louisiana State University, where he was a member of the Law Review, Moot Court Board, and LSU Law Hall of Fame and was awarded the Order of the Coif. He practiced law at Jones, Walker and is now a solo practitioner.
