Biography

Dr. J.C. Wagner-Romero serves as adjunct professor of education within Tulane University’s School of Professional Advancement, combining practical executive leadership with academic inquiry. Originally from New Orleans, he served the community as Vice President of NOLA Public Schools before transitioning to the Midwest, where he currently serves as CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of the 7 Rivers Region. His background includes PK–12 administrative leadership as a principal and instructional coach, as well as international executive experience heading two British international schools in Thailand. He also serves as adjunct faculty in the Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction program at St. Cloud State University. Dr. Wagner-Romero’s active scholarship agenda focuses on equity and the lived experiences of minoritized families within the public education system.
