Biography
Jada Buckner, Ed.D., joined Tulane in 2017 and currently serves as the Assistant Athletic Director, Student-Athlete Enhancement. She teaches Social Aspects of Health in the SoPA Kinesiology program. She earned her B.S. in Exercise Science at Nova Southeastern University in 2012, where she competed on the women's basketball team all four years. After graduation, she continued her education at East Tennessee State University where she earned her M.A. in Exercise Physiology and Sport Performance and graduated in 2023 with her Ed.D in Global Sport Leadership. Her research was titled, "More Than an Athlete: How Intersecting Identities Impact the Student-Athlete Experience." In previous stints, Jada completed her postgraduate internship at the NCAA headquarters. She has also served as head strength and conditioning coach and volunteer assistant coach for Milligan College Women’s Basketball as well as a strength and conditioning coach for ETSU Women's Basketball. She coached AAU travel basketball for over five years.
