Biography
Michelle Russo is an adjunct professor in Information Technology (IT) for the Tulane University School of Professional Advancement (SoPA). Ms. Russo also served as a subject matter expert in the development of new online courses for SoPA’s new Master of Professional Studies in IT Management. She holds a B.S. in Computer Science, M.S. in Management of Information Systems, and cumulative applied knowledge from an ongoing 25+ year career in IT solutions delivery and management. Ms. Russo has directed strategic and large-scale IT programs in multiple domains including Government Intelligence & Homeland Security, Criminal Justice & Public Safety, Financial & Banking, and Healthcare.
Ms. Russo specializes in emerging trends in IT delivery. Since 2008, she has been a principle consultant in enterprise agile transformations and successfully coached executives, program management, IT architects, and development teams in transforming business models to embrace digital disruption. As of 2017, Ms. Russo is part of the program management team partnered with Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) to deliver contractor-owned secure commercial cloud solutions on the Department of Defense Information Network – one of the first commercial cloud platforms authorized to host classified data.
Ms. Russo has developed corporate training courses in Scrum and agile delivery, has been an invited international conference speaker, served as co-Chair for Scrum Alliance Global SCRUM GATHERING® New Orleans 2014. She is a certified Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe®) Program Consultant and licensed trainer. She also holds current certifications from the Project Management Institute (PMI) including PMP®, and PMI Agile Certified Professional (PMI-ACP); from Scrum Alliance: Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO); from Amazon Web Services: AWS Solutions Architect Associate (SAA).
