Elisabeth McBride

While not a New Orleans native, some of Elisabeth’s favorite childhood memories include sailing on Lake Pontchratrain with her grandfather and going to Celebration in the Oaks at Christmas. When the opportunity to move to New Orleans arose, she jumped at the chance to move from South Mississippi to New Orleans so she could spend more time with her family.

After completing her master's degree at The University of Southern Mississippi in 2014, Elisabeth joined the Office of Admissions at Southern Miss, starting her career in higher education. Her most recent position at The University of Southern Mississippi was Associate Director for Graduate Admissions, where she managed the full admissions process for over 80 graduate level programs.

As the Slate Admissions Systems Manager for the School of Professional Advancement, Elisabeth is responsible for the technical aspects of the admissions operations, managing and customizing the Slate platform to meet the needs of SoPA Admissions.
