Biography
Chloe Raub is Head of the Newcomb Archives and Vorhoff Collection of Newcomb Institute. She is active in the GLAM (galleries, libraries, archives, and museums) Wikimedia community and Art+Feminism, a global campaign to improve coverage of women and non-binary artists on Wikipedia and encourage greater diversity among Wikipedia editors. She is a past board member of the LGBT+ Archives Project of Louisiana and former Co-Chair of the Society of American Archivists Women’s Collections Section, and is currently Executive Committee Member-at-Large to the Association of College and Research Libraries' Women and Gender Studies Section. She holds an MA in Anthropology and Museum Studies from George Washington University and an MSLIS in Library Science and Cultural Heritage Information Management from Catholic University, and is a Certified Archivist.
What are your favorite activities when you are not working?
Yoga, running, and gardening.
What's the first career you dreamed of having as a child?
Entomologist! I've always loved exploring and observing nature.
If you could travel anywhere, where would you go?
Mongolia or Bhutan. I love traveling by train and would love to travel on the Trans-Siberian Railway one day.
