Biography

Dr. Charvi Greer is an adjunct faculty member of the SoPA Sport Studies Program. Additionally, she serves as the Deputy Athletic Director for Student Services and Senior Woman Administrator in the Tulane University Athletic Department. Her role includes oversight of the academic support and sport performance units, liaising with the NCAA compliance and student-athlete enhancement units, supervision of assigned sport programs, and managing student-athlete welfare initiatives. In addition to her responsibilities as a Tulane administrator, Dr. Greer currently serves on American Athletic Conference and National Collegiate Athletic Association committees. Dr. Greer came to Tulane from East Tennessee State University (ETSU), where she spent five years in a similar role. A native of Auburn, Alabama, she graduated with BS and MS degrees from the University of Georgia – where she played varsity softball. She earned her EdD from ETSU in global sport leadership. Her primary area of focus is sport administration, leadership and management. She has taught courses in sport governance, sport marketing, and business seminars.

If you could travel anywhere, where would you go?
I would love to travel to Australia, Greece, and South Africa.

What are your favorite activities when you are not working?
Reading, puzzles, shopping, concerts, and sporting events
