Carey Loshbaugh

Carey Loshbaugh is the Director of Finance and Budget at SoPA, working with the Chief Business Officer and the Dean in the development of the overall strategy, preparation, analysis, and implementation of financial objectives for the School.  Carey has over 25 years of experience in finance, accounting, and management across multiple industries.  

Before starting at SoPA, Carey was the CFO at the Louisiana Children’s Museum.  Prior to that, Carey was the CFO for JMH Companies Management and Premium Parking, the Senior Director of Finance for Churchill Downs Louisiana (Fair Grounds Race Course, Casino, and OTB’s), the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis for Harrah’s New Orleans (now Caesars), as well other positions at Entergy and Ochsner.

Carey is a native of Denver, Colorado, but has long been associated with Tulane.  In addition to having an older brother attend Tulane, Carey earned two degrees from the Freeman School of Business (BSM and MBA), and his wife Alysia earned three degrees (BS, MSPH, and MBA) and has been a staff member at the University since 2002.

Along with his wife, two kids, and a spoiled dog, Carey lives in New Orleans and loves attending Green Wave sporting events with his family and riding with the Krewe of the Rolling Elvi during Mardi Gras.
