Dr. Boudreaux teaches English at SoPA as well at Newcomb-Tulane College. He is the author of two collections of poetry, most recent Rapunzel’s Braid, (Five Oaks Press, 2016).  His first book of poems is Running Red, Running Redder (Cherry Grove Collections, 2012).  His third book, Toy Park, is forthcoming in 2019.

He has a B.A in English from University of Southern California, an M.A. in English from the University of Southern Mississippi, and a Ph.D. in English from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

He lives in New Orleans with his wife Heather Boudreaux and son.

What are your favorite activities when you are not working?
When I am not working, I enjoy crafting a poem.  I am also an avid reader. I am an angler; the best fishing is in Louisiana for speckled trout and redfish.

What's the first career you dreamed of having as a child?
As a child, I dreamed of pitching in the World Series.
