Biography

Dr. Boudreaux teaches English at SoPA, as well at Newcomb-Tulane College. He is the author of three published collections of poetry, Toy Park (Cherry Grove Collections, 2019), Rapunzel’s Braid (Five Oaks Press, 2016), and Running Red, Running Redder (Cherry Grove Collections, 2012).

He has a B.A in English from University of Southern California, an M.A. in English from the University of Southern Mississippi, and a Ph.D. in English from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

He lives in New Orleans with his wife Heather Boudreaux and son.

What are your favorite activities when you are not working?
When I am not working, I enjoy crafting a poem.  I am also an avid reader. I am an angler; the best fishing is in Louisiana for speckled trout and redfish.

What's the first career you dreamed of having as a child?
As a child, I dreamed of pitching in the World Series.
